Last Night at Casa

Last night at Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant felt like pure summer magic. The patio was blazing when I first rolled in, but once those fans kicked on and the sun dipped behind the buildings, everything settled into that perfect cool groove where the fun really takes over. And the crowd showed up strong. Mayor Carol Branham stopped by to share some community love, families filled the tables with great food, and the whole patio had that unmistakable Nevada, Missouri summer-night energy. Casa’s patio is such a great addition to our town, and being right on the Historic Jefferson Highway made singing On Jefferson Highway feel right at home.

The Fire Truck sing‑along lit up the night like it always does — definitely a highlight and always a blast to share with everyone.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and spent our last Sunday of summer without a school week waiting on the other side. Your support keeps the music alive, and nights like this remind me why performing in this community means so much.

See you at the next one. (photos by Trevor Smith)
