It’s blog time again, and I’m here to tell you it’s been a very cool summer. You’d think things would slow down just a bit, but they’re not! With Doug TV is back and going strong, as you probably already know, and things are finally getting back to normal around here.

The on demand sections still aren’t quite what they used to be, but the focus of the channel has really shifted toward the live stream. Some shows available on the stream aren’t offered on demand, so if you want to catch all the action, tune in live. We’re working hard to expand the on demand lineup too. The programming will differ between the two, but I’m proud of both.

By the time you read this, we’ll hopefully have Coffeehouse TV up and running, with our livestream available to watch at Precision Coffee Company in Nevada, Missouri. We’re thrilled to have another local spot where folks can enjoy the channel. Of course, you can also watch on Roku, or right here on this very blog — the fastest way to view. So heck, you might even be seeing it now!

Classic Cartoons and New Episodes

Joining our programming lineup this month are some timeless favorites: Betty Boop, Superman, and Popeye. Some episodes are in black and white, others in color, so enjoy the “over the rainbow” contrast from program to program.

New episodes of Zandemic will be dropping soon, along with Season One reruns if you missed them the first time around. And every day at lunch, you’ll find a current or classic episode of Lunch With Doug, the podcast that just keeps going. We’re now a decade strong!

Live Music and Local Events

Our good friend DJ Finnis will be spinning at the American Legion through the end of August and into September. Here are the upcoming dates: August 26, 28 • September 2, 4, 5, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 23, 25, 30

I’ll be performing Dangerous Doug Harper music sets at a few events too, including some church related gatherings:

  • Saturday, September 5 • 9 AM to Noon — First Saturday on the Square inside Precision Coffee, for an awareness ministry event. I’ll be playing all original Doug songs, leaning toward the more spiritual side.

  • Sunday, September 6 • 10:45 AM — Evangel Church meeting with praise and worship music at Precision Coffee, Nevada, MO.

Looks like I’ll also be performing during the Jefferson Highway Conference in Joplin, most likely Monday, September 21 (details coming soon). Then it’s off to Pittsburg, Kansas, on Saturday, September 26 to play at TJ Leland’s.

The next Red Cherry Alley Secret Show is set for Saturday, October 24, and I’ll be heading back to Springfield on December 5 to play at Gailey’s.
