Dangerous Doug Harper: Where it began—and where it will end—is unknown. Lunch With Doug officially launched March 23, 2017, but its roots run deep. Dangerous Doug Harper started filming band adventures in 1996, later creating The Local Ear Underground Entertainment Guide to spotlight Nevada, MO’s overlooked music scene. As print faded, Doug embraced digital media, evolving from fan-zines to livestreams. Lunch With Doug began as a casual Facebook live during lunch breaks, then grew into a full-scale show with 260 original video episodes, a six-part movie, 538 podcast episodes, and more. Now, new episodes drop twice weekly at noon on Roku’s With Doug TV, replay in rotation, and stream on-demand across major podcast platforms. From music to media, Doug’s journey is rooted in community, creativity, and connection.
