Historic Jefferson Highway Awareness Concert Event Comes to Nevada, Missouri
The Lilac Cruise Jefferson 54 Historic Crossroads Concert to be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Hairy Frog Grafix Parking Lot 150 N. Commercial Street Nevada, Missouri. An all-day series of events relating to the historic highway that spans across the city.
Here is a brief overview of the event:
This is an awareness concert and shopping day in Nevada, Missouri for the Jefferson Highway. The hopeful outcome of this event is to:
1. Gain excitement and awareness of what the Jefferson Highway was and is and how the town is connected to it historically.
2. Bring attention to the history and historical society and museum locally
3. Have a fun town building event promoting our community with shopping, music, and food.
8am - 10 am Coffee and Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast at Precision Coffee Co 224 E Walnut (mention Jefferson Highway for a discount when ordering) located across the street from the tourist camp site (one building still stands) point of interest.
Shopping Day and Self Driving Tour 10am - 4pm look for signs in windows for participating locations on and off the route here is a link to the map Jefferson Highway Nevada Missouri - Google My Maps
Bushwhacker Museum 212 W. Walnut is open with extended hours until 4pm (see map for location)
Lunch at the Historic White Grill at 200 N. Commercial Street located on the later Jefferson Highway route through town.
4pm-7pm FREE Expo at Hairy Frog Grafix parking lot 150 N. Commercial - Just Hanks Coffee and Tea Truck On-Site
6pm Lucas Corbin opening artist portion of the Jefferson and 54 Crossroads Concert Event at Hairy Frog Grafix parking lot.
7pm-10pm Dinner music Brooke Austin performs at Casa Azteca 903 E. Subway Blvd
7:30pm-8:30pm Lilac Cruise at Hairy Frog Graphics 150 N. Commercial
9pm-Midnight or Later After Party at Casa Azteca!!! Brook Austin til 10 PM and then Aubrey and Doug 10-Midnight or later
